BACKUP RING

Backup Ring also called Anti Extrusion Rings is an inflexible ring that holds an elastomeric seal to its outlined shape and in its right place. Usually used with O Rings to eliminate extrusion at high pressures.

There are 3 basic standard shapes for Backup Ring in the market: solid (uncut), scarf cut (single turn). Spiral cut （multi-turn）.
